#SavorTheCulture
In 2024, Filipino Americans gathered in Albany, New York in a powerful expression of unity, culture, and pride as they celebrated the 126th Anniversary of Philippine Independence through the Filipino Day Grand Parade 2024, also known as Kalayaan Day.
Rain or shine, the community showed up with unwavering spirit, filling the streets with vibrant colors, music, and cultural expression. The celebration became a living tribute to Filipino heritage, where tradition and community pride came together in a joyful and meaningful public gathering.
The parade featured cultural performances, community organizations, and vibrant displays that highlighted the richness and diversity of Filipino identity. Every moment reflected a deep sense of solidarity and shared pride among Filipino Americans and the wider Albany community.
The 2024 Kalayaan Day celebration stands as a meaningful reminder of heritage and connection, honoring the past while continuing to strengthen cultural ties and community bonds for generations to come.
